Estonian boys of the 20th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Estonian) (Estonian: 20. eesti diviis) are conscripted by the Germans for combat against the Soviet Union. Most Estonians who fought for the German military did so not out of an ardent support of National Socialist ideology, but in an effort to thwart the Soviet occupation and annexation of their nation, which had declared neutrality at the onset of the war.
